Bringing Lake Benanee to Life: Designing a Visitor Brochure for a Free Camping Area

Lake Benanee is a free camping area near Euston, NSW. I was asked to develop its first A4 trifold double-sided visitor brochure, bringing the existing brand to life through local stories, practical visitor information and the regional parrot mascot. After several weeks of exploring ideas, testing layouts and refining the design, I’m very happy with the result so far—and confident the committee will be pleased with it.

Customer: Balranald Shire Council

Brief: Develop Lake Benanee’s first double-sided visitor brochure for its free camping area near Euston, NSW. The brochure should bring the existing brand to life through local stories, practical visitor information and the regional parrot mascot, Reggie, which was also developed by MuscaMusca.

Outcome: A clear, engaging visitor brochure combining useful information, local character and distinctive place branding. After several weeks of exploring ideas, testing layouts and refining the design, the result is ready to present to the committee.
